New websites from the Matrix studio

After a busy summer in the Matrix studio, the team are happy to unveil a selection of new web work.

Dimbola.co.uk is the home of the Julia Margaret Cameron Trust, and the smart new design is the latest in a collection of successful charity websites built by Matrix.

The new Charnwood website for AJ Wells and sons, has been a long time in production, but we think the results were well worth the wait. Charnwood is a leading UK producer of wood burning stoves.

The Owl and Monkey Haven is the latest Isle of Wight attraction. The haven made an award winning start last year, and now has a website to celebrate it's success.

Matrix has worked with RF Engines for many years, and was pleased to put the final touches to the new www.rfel.com website.

We've also been busy with some branding work, and are waiting for some packaging designs for a food company to hit the supermarkets next week.

The Festival website is hugely popular, with a mailing list of 35,000, a large forum community and has been known to hit 2 million page views in a week!

New CMS launches with Gurit website

The Matrix development team has been very busy over the last 6 months, putting together a complete overhaul of our CMS, which has gone live to deliver a fantastic new website for Gurit. Fangle 3 has arrived, and sees a real shake up to the workings of our Content Management System, with the emphasis on moving away from the reliance of those quirky HTML editors that we all love, to a much more modular and template based approach to each page. Ultimately this gives much more control to our clients, and makes the CMS much easier to use. The Gurit website has been a big project, incorporating an attractive and clean looking design. The new CMS has helped Gurit to take control of the large amount of content that the website needs to present.

10 Years in, it's time to evolve

It's a new start to the year and a new direction for Matrix.

Now entering it's 10th year of business Matrix has specialised in web design, delivering the very highest standard in website design and development for a wide client base, from small start up businesses to the dizzy heights of large global brands.

Over the years we have continued to grow and adapt… and over time we have evolved. No longer can an agency simply build a "nice" website, or design a "pretty" brochure. We have to do more than that… We have to look at how brands communicate to their customers through 'User Experiences' and use Social Networking effectively.

So at the start of the year we set the wheels in motion to develop Matrix, to talk our clients (and prospective new ones) about what can be expected from Matrix through out 2011.

We have bulked up in size, adding 2 new members to the already solid Matrix Team, Paul Yendley is our new web designer who specialises in CSS development and JavaScript, and Nick Dover who has come on board as our first in house designer and brand specialist.

As the title says new year, new start. With this in mind we have taken this opportunity to transform MatrixeBusiness. First of all by changing our name to Matrix Create… With the new name and diverse skill set we wanted to expand our services, attracting a new audience, whilst maintaining our existing. Shifting our market perception to a full service design agency whilst firmly keeping our roots in what we know best - The Web. Explore our website to find out more about our Graphic Design services.

Also new this year is Matrix Play. This is something that the team at Matrix felt strongly they wanted to do. This is time that the whole Matrix team set aside out of our free time, to look at cool new things - time to play! This time will be a refreshing change from the day to day pressures of meeting deadlines, and will allow the team to develop. As we develop, we will of course be looking to offer these new specialisms to you, our valued customers :)

So with that let's start the count down to the Matrix Birthday and let play time begin!

The Matrix has been upgraded

December and January has seen some significant changes in the Matrix team.

We are pleased to welcome aboard Paul Yendley as our Junior Web Designer / Developer. Paul has a keen interest in all things design, but also has strong set of technical skills. He has quickly got up to speed and is already getting stuck into the build aspects of various website projects at Matrix.

Just before Christmas, we were very pleased to welcome Nick Dover into the fold. Matrix and Nick go back a long way, with Nick having previously had a successful spell of work experience with us back in 2005. Since then he has been a busy boy, having worked for a couple of design agencies and having gathered a wealth of hands on skills and industry experience.

Nick now adds a real creative edge to the Matrix team. His skills will add a fresh fel to our online design work, but also sees us add design for print services to our offering.

Welcome aboard Gentlemen, it already feels like it;s going to be a lot of fun...
